Chronology

1955

Peter Kobek registers an advertising agency that he operates alongside his daytime job. His agency's main client is Heidenhain, a measurement and control instrument manufacturer. It is in this connection that Peter Kobek becomes involved in screen printing over the course of the years.

1968

The progress made in the screen printing field enables Peter Kobek to quit salaried employment and devote all his energies to screen printing.

1973 76

His son Hans-Joachim Kobek undergoes a screen printing apprenticeship at his father's firm, completing his training with the best grades in the region.

1979

Hans-Joachim Kobek gains a master's certificate in screen printing.

01.06.1982

Hans-Joachim Kobek takes over the company.

1984

He qualifies in business administration for craft trades.

1986 onwards

Investment in a cutting plotter, CAD plotter, Apple computer and new printing machines.

1998

The company starts working as a supplier to the automotive and lamp industry.

2001

Start of industrial screen printing.

2004

Investment in a milling plotter for single-source services ranging from printing to dimensionally customised processing and product assembly.

2007

A new laser expands the range of possibilities for processing plastics.

2008

The existing works is enlarged by erecting a new warehouse and modernising the second-storey facilities.

The machinery is supplemented with a further milling plotter for larger production runs and faster turnaround.  

The company takes up the printing of optical waveguides offering homogenous light distribution based on LEDs.

2010

Procurement of a new and larger laser cutter with a 120 cm x 70 cm processing area.

2011

In view of growing demand and the increasing variety of assignments, Kobek Siebdruck GmbH & Co. KG is founded effective 1 January 2011.

01.01.2017

The company Kobek Siebdruck GmbH & Co. KG becomes Motherson Innovations Lights GmbH & Co. KG.
